CW2. The real start of your Warrant career. By here, you should be well into having a knowledge base that proves your expert status. Pilots should be pushing the IP's for a PC ride NLT your second year as a W-2. (Since there are no more W-2's under the old program) If you make W-3 with ever being a PC..... Can you say: Loser!.... I don't know of a situation in which that would NOT be an individual shortfall. If you think otherwise, please let me know why! I can't come up with a believable excuse. (EVER, meaning any airframe in the army inventory) Face it, if you are not WARRANT enough to make it, get out so we don't have to carry you. You're a bad example to junior WO's, your peers, and senior WO's.Want to stick around? Go to OCS. No one will question your not being able (or wanting) to make PC. Many good commissioned officers did not make good WO's. It's an ATTITUDE, not just a school. By your 2nd year as a W-2, you should be thinking about promotion to W-3. Continue your education, ask about your performance at least quarterly. Talk to your senior rater quarterly also. Start thinking about a track in your 3rd or 4th year. Hot Shit? Ask to track. Talk to senior WO's in the unit. Not just in the track you want to go in to. Find out if you have what it takes to proceed and that you meet the minimum requirements. If you track, and suck at it, it will stick with you. Aviation is a small community. Make sure of your choice!

Make the effort to learn. Find your niche and work hard.
You should have a clue by now. Begin to understand your roll as a Warrant Officer. Attend WOPD or ask senior WO's to start a weekly or bi-weekly meeting.
